CIT supports Science Technology Engineering and Math (STEM) education by leading a Computer Building club at McClintock Middle School.
The club, for 6th – 8th grade students, provides an opportunity for students to learn about all of the internal components of a Personal Computer and build their own computer from the ground up.
The students then learn about hardware & software, Operating Systems, and basic networking. At the conclusion of an twelve week program the computers that the students built can be taken home.
For many this is the first computer their families have been able to have in their home.
CIT leads this club and is proud to provide support for future Engineers and Technicians through its efforts. This year SMT awarded statewide recognition to McClintock Partners in Education (McPie) for their contribution to STEM education excellence.
