Cybersecurity Awareness Month 2021

Happy Cybersecurity Awareness Month 2021

October is Cybersecurity Awareness Month. The goal is to raise awareness about the importance of cybersecurity to ensure that all Americans have the resources they need to be safer and more secure online

The theme for 2021 by CISA and the National Cyber Security Alliance (NCSA) is “Do your part. #BeCyberSmart.” This year, that theme is more relevant than ever because not only has technology made its way into every corner of our personal lives, but with remote working, the boundaries between work and home life have all but eroded.

It takes all of us to enhance our cybersecurity. CyberMonth. Taken From Jen Easterly Twitter on 10/1/21

L. Cruciana, founder and owner of CIT reply to Jen Easterly of CISA twitter quote above:

Cybersecurity is a team sport. It takes the entire community (and all of the diverse skills, perspectives, and abilities therein) to win. Kudos to the @CISAgov peeps and awesome leadership of @CISAJen being the advocates & agents of change that are needed more now than ever.

The takeaways is: cybersecurity awareness month 2021 should not be restricted to just one month a year. Your organization remember it’s an ongoing effort and consistency far more important than intensity. October should be used as reminder that cybersecurity awareness is not just one a done, start here but keep propelling your activities forward monthly.
